I had an amazing experience for my personal and professional development this week. I enjoyed sightseeing in Atlanta ie. The headquarters of CNN and Coca-Cola. It was also the first time to experience the vibrant life of a city in the USA for two days.
Moreover, I enjoyed the speed networking where I interacted with various collaborators. It was my first time to participate in such activity and I loved it so much. The collaborators acted very professional and eager to learn from the conversation I had with them. I am looking forward to continuing exploring potential collaborations with them.
During my trip to Atlanta, I learned about various leaders and their impact. The best thing I learned is about Integrity that Influence Impact in leadership. I will ensure that these three qualities of leadership become part of me when I go back to lead my organization. I also learned how strong leaders like Martin Luther King led with humility and sacrifices for the justice and equality of those who were oppressed.
One thing that I unexpectedly encountered was the fact that the streets in the city didn’t have as many people as I am used to back home. I learned that here people rely on technology instead of physical movement in accomplishing different tasks ie. paying bills.
I am looking forward to more lessons and fun this coming week.
